I’m delighted to share that the documentary about the life of Lester Young we have been working on is nearing completion. At Blue Cormorant, we’re creating the animated backbone of Henry Ferrini’s film, which provides imagery for the sound of Lester’s own voice in his final interview with François Postif for Jazz Hot.

We recently created an all-new website, where you’ll find a new trailer featuring many of the legendary voices who were influenced by Lester sharing a taste of their stories.

We’ll be updating the site with some outtakes and gems from the interviews that didn’t make it into the film, so if you love jazz, please check it out, and pass it along:
